Well, Malton Show 2017 has been a huge success. The weather was beautiful, everyone was in good spirit and the atmosphere was fantastic.
The turnout for this year’s classic car section was astonishing after almost tripling the entrants from last year which was the first time we had become part of the show and organised such an event. We were blown away by the variation of vehicles this year. We had everything from a BWM Isetta (bubble car) to a General Lee Dodge Charger and an Aston Martin DB6. There was something for everyone. Due to the vast increase in entries this year, the judging was particularly difficult. All judges agreed that the prestigious “Best in Show” had to go to Mr Dave Fishwick and his 1960 Triumph TR3A. Dave and his Father in law had just completed a comprehensive restoration spanning 16 years. Well done chaps. Each category had strong competition and the results are as follows.
