Andrew Welham's Year Without Beer

Our very own Andrew Welham is going a whole year without alcohol to raise money for Ryedale & District Mencap. For the last 2 years he has successfully done ‘Dry January’. This year he has decided to step it up and embark on a much bigger challenge.

Andrew has said “As someone who enjoys a regular session in the local pub to socialise and be merry, I realise it is a daunting prospect. I have decided to do something positive and set up a JustGiving page to raise money for Ryedale & District Mencap, a fantastic charity which I have had involvement in recently. I have seen first-hand how they really help people with learning difficulties.” Andrew wants to prove to himself and others that it can be done, but his main aims are to create awareness of a good cause and raise a bit of money along the way, then that will make it all worth it.  At the stroke of midnight 2018-2019 he finished his last alcoholic beverage and began the challenge. At the end of 2019 as the countdown approaches Midnight I’m sure he will be eagerly ordering his first pint for a whole twelve months.  If you would like to support Andrew, he has set up a JustGiving page called ‘Welham’s Year Without Beer” Andrew has said, “Any donation at all, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.” For more information please visit Andrew's JustGiving page here Good luck.
